enable products all feature state of the art security to ensure that reliable data is sent and received between trusted sources. Any host based user IDs, passwords and security (including renowned RACF security) are maintained throughout the enable product line - requiring the user to log-in before they are able to submit or view any data to the host. enable products also take advantage of today's industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) security to ensure the authenticity of the server and to encrypt data between client and server.

SSL is implemented as a separate module of enable, and can be realized from the web server in enableHTML. SSL has become the accepted way to negotiate any method of encryption between clients and servers on the Internet.
